Used personal effects, unexposed film, are allowed in free.
A duty free allowance is effected on a one litre bottle of alcoholic beverages, 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars, half a litre of perfume, still and video cameras and their accessories (except cine and slide projectors).
Camera & Video Equipment
Cameras, video equipment and accessories intended for commercial use require a Customs Bond or a cash deposit equivalent to their value for the period items are in the country.
A non-refundable fee of 1% of the value of the items is charged on entry if an advance refundable cash deposit or Customs bond are not available.
Refundable deposits may be required for the temporary import of radios, tape recorders and similar equipment, including musical instruments.
You are advised to seek clarification with your tour operator before the trip or Kenyan foreign mission in your country.
Live Animals, pets, and plants
Export and import of live animals, both wild and domestic is not allowed unless with special permit from the Kenya Wildlife Service.
Hunting and trafficking of game trophies is also banned due to the nation's commitment to conservation of biodiversity.
The importation of agricultural or horticultural produce is not allowed except by special permit from the Ministry of Agriculture.
Firearms
Visitors to Kenya are not allowed to carry firearms.
