Croatia Yacht Charter Travel Guide
Good sailing, good food, and friendly company surrounded by nature in a serene atmosphere ... that is what chartered sailing is all about. And the best thing about this type of vacation is that the scenery changes every day. You can dock in a different marina every day for shopping, visiting historical or cultural sites or simply do to the groceries.
There 50 marinas all together along the Croatian coastline. You should know that mooring fees are not included in the charter fee. That is your responsibility. And so it should be. The charter company does not know how many towns you want to visit, maybe none at all. Mooring fees differ from marina to marina. Prices are set by the company that owns it from the fall priory to the season and for a whole year. Public harbours also request a mooring fee which is determined by authorities. And this fee can change anytime the authorities decide to change it. Mooring fee also depends on the size of the boat: the bigger the boat, the highest the fee. However, you should know that mooring fees also provide you with power, running water to fill your water tank, internet / phone connection, etc. for 10 to 30 Euros per night. Small islands may have bigger fees for mooring and groceries, as supplies are more difficult to be provided on a daily basis. Here are a few of the most important Croatian islands that you might want to visit:
