International Airports in Spain
Spain has lots and lots of international airports (and here are some information on some of the more important and most regularly used ones. Madrid Barajas is 13km outside of Madrid. There is a coach service from here almost every ten minutes (0445-0200); there is also an underground tube train service (0630-0130). There are thousands of taxis all over Spain and you will be able to book one from the airport. Most of the airports have the same facilities including: tax and duty free shopping facilities, hotel reservation phones and contact details, bars and restaurants.
Alicante Altet is 12km southwest of Madrid. Buses run from here to Madrid (0700-2335). Taxis are available at any time, day or night. You can get a special taxi fare to Valencia Airport. The usual airport facilities include tax and duty free shops, car hire facilities, tourist information and a bank.
Barcelona del Prat is 13km southwest of Barcelona. Buses from here depart Monday-Friday every 15 minutes; Saturday they are every 30 minutes and Sunday every 20 minutes (0600-2400). Trains from here run every 30 minutes (0613-2340). Taxis are available at any time of day or night. The usual airport facilities are available including tax and duty free shops, car hire companies, bars and restaurants and a bank.
